§ Section 1 General Provision

1.1. The competition regulations (hereinafter referred to as CReg) define the rules of "O Jílovské zlato" (Contest for the Gold of Jílové) - competition in the historical and scenic-historical dance and is binding all entrants of the competition.
1.2. Infringement of the regulations of CReg may lead to disqualification from the competition. Disqualification may be delivered by the responsible of competition named in propositions of the competition.
1.3. CReg is valid from 20.10. 2007 to 04.04. 2009 (by issuing a new CReg expires).
1.4. Dance competition "O Jílovské zlato" (Contest for the Gold of Jílové) is managed by CReg and competition propositions.
1.5. Since the propositions have been issued only the responsible of the competition, named in propositions of the competition, has the right to interfere with the propositions and only for serious reasons. The propositions should not be interfered with in the day of the competition and the day preceding that date. All competitors registered for the competition must be notified about the amendment to the propositions.
1.6. Only the Responsible of the competition can decide about the cancellation of the competition. Cancellation of the competition must be announced to all competitors and participants of the competition no later than 7 days before the competition.

§ Section 2 Age category

2.1. Competition "O Jílovské zlato" is organised only as Formations in the Main age category (MAC):
Formation (3 or more dancers), which has an average age min. 15.5 years; every member of the formation must be born until 1995.
2.2. Age to calculate the average age of the formation for the competition is the age the competitor reaches in the year in which the competition is held.
2.3. Responsible of the competition and competition officials are allowed to check the date of birth.
Candidates must submit a valid proof of the date of birth (as such document are considered: birth certificate, health insurance card, public transport card, identity card, passport).

§ Section 3 Competition disciplines


3.1. Aristocratic Gothic Dances:
a. Characteristics: Choreography inspired by the Gothic period, choreography exclusively situated into the atmosphere of the court and aristocratic residences.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the Gothic aristocracy fashion patterns.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.

3.2. Aristocratic Renaissance Dances:
3.2.1. Aristocratic Renaissance Dances - reconstruction:
a. Characteristics: Choreography as an absolutely precise replica of Renaissance dance, as they are preserved in the historical materials, or the choreography composed entirely of authentic renaissance elements and figures.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the Renaissance aristocracy fashion patterns.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.
3.2.2. Aristocratic Renaissance Dances - scenic versions:
a. Characteristics: Choreography inspired by the Renaissance period and culture, choreography exclusively situated into the atmosphere of the court and aristocratic residences.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the Renaissance aristocracy fashion patterns.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.

3.3. Aristocratic Baroque Dances:

3.3.1. Aristocratic Baroque Dances - reconstruction:
a. Characteristics: Choreography as an absolutely precise replica of Baroque dance, as they are preserved in the historical materials, or the choreography composed entirely of authentic baroque elements and figures.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the Baroque aristocracy fashion patterns.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.
3.3.2. Aristocratic Baroque Dances - scenic versions:
a. Characteristics: Choreography inspired by the Baroque period and culture, choreography exclusively situated into the atmosphere of the court and aristocratic residences.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the Renaissance aristocracy fashion patterns.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.

3.4. Historical Folk Dances - scenic versions:
a. Characteristics: Choreography inspired by Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque period, choreography exclusively situated into the folk environment to suit the atmosphere of towns and villages.
b. Music: The music chosen by competitor
c. Number of dancers: min. 3
d. Length of performance: 2:00 minutes to 6:00 minutes.
e. Props: Allowed.
f. Properties: Not allowed.
g. Costumes and footwear: To suit the folk population fashion patterns of the chosen period.
h. Other regulations: The pace of dance is not limited.

3.5. "Prop" means an object which is used to evoke the theme and atmosphere of dance. The competitor handles it, uses it to activities (e.g. scarf, flower, wreath).
3.6. "Property" means an object which is placed (laid, built) on the dance area and helps to competitor to complete the mood, the atmosphere of the dance (e.g. artificial trees, stands, draps).

§ Section 4 Course of competition


4.1. Each leader of formation, which acts as a representative of the formation, must send a duly completed
application before the deadline date of sign to competition and must be able to prove the age of competitors in accordance with Section 2.3. of CReg.
4.2. Music - the music CD must be submitted at roll call and controlled by the Responsible of competition or by authorized personnel during the stage rehearsal.
4.3. Time schedule of stage rehearsals will be announced to competitors by organizer in advance. It is obligatory for every competing formation to be present at its stage rehearsal.
4.4. If there are more than 8 competing formations performing in one discipline, there must be at least 2 rounds of competition.
4.5. If the formation already paid the entry fee and it is not participating in the competition, resign to the competition, or is excluded or disqualified from the competition, the promoter is not obliged to refund the fee.

§ Section 5 Final provisions

5.1. The Responsible of competition has the right to decide any other regulations that are not listed. The Responsible of competition is named in propositions for the period of validity of the Competition Regulations. If any new information concerning the course of competition is announced, such information must be processed as decision of the Responsible of the competition and results of such decision are valid for all competitors from the date on which the decision takes the effect.
5.2. This CReg was approved by a special meeting of the competition commission on 20th October 2007, it takes effect from 21st October 2007 and its validity is approved by the Responsible of competition.
